The Treasure of Alpheus Winterborn

The Revenge of the Wizard's Ghost

  • Reverse cover (1985 Dial edition): The phrase "Zebulon Patriarcha" as described in the book (page 4) appears on the cover as “Zarulon Patriarcha". Edward Gorey later corrected the misspelling.
  • Page 56: "...then we are going to pretend to be tourists and prive out out past the place...."

The Mansion in the Mist

  • Page 69: "It may not be possible for anyon to destroy the Logos Cube...."

The Doom of the Haunted Opera

  • Page 46: “...the magicians had scrambled up out of the orchestra pit and dashed out past Lewis and Rose Rita.”
    • While there are magicians in this scene, Strickland admits the word should have been musicians. He also notes there is "something fishy about the bikes in the cemetery scene...that resulted from editorial transposition of paragraphs"[1].

The Tower at the End of the World

  • Page 26: "Not his English pen pal, Bertie Woodring,...."
