The Beast under the Wizard's Bridge was published in the United States in 2000.

The back panel of the dust jacket (left side of the artwork) depicts a tentacled beast rising from the water and reaching toward a red star burning in the sky.  Another ghostly creature emerges from the cracked earth on the front panel.  The black-and-white frontispiece shows Lewis Barnavelt walking down the back staircase in his house and observing the ever-changing stained glass window this time displaying the word CAVE.

The wrap-around dust jacket and frontispiece features the last completed bookwork of Edward Gorey, who died April 15, 2000[1].  The book’s art was still on Gorey’s drawing table when Kevin McDermott photographed Gorey's home days after he died. The illustrations can be seen in McDermott's book, Elephant House: The Home of Edward Gorey[2].

The dust jacket painting, frontispiece illustration, and a copy of the book were put up for sale in 2001 by Bromer Booksellers with an asking price for $10,500.00[1].
