Eudoxia Faldstool was a member of the Faldstool family who was a chronic fidgeter until her mother prayed to Saint Fidgeta (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies; 22). It was later thought the child's seizures are some variety of stigmata.
Inspiration[]
Eudoxia: Greek for good fame, glory. The name was popular in antiquity and in the Middle Ages[1], namely Eudokia of Heliopolis (d.107)[2] and Fabia Eudokia (c.580-612), empress consort of Heraclius[3].
