The Childermass family is an American family of academians that were based in the New England area. The most well-known member is Professor Roderick Childermass.

Roderick attests that there were "few traitors and renegades in the family history and on the whole is an ancient and honorable name. There was a Childermass at the Battle of Agincourt and another was with the barons who forced King John to sign the Magna Carta (The Spell of the Sorcerer's Skull; 9).

The family home is located in Vermont.
