Byron "Fergie" Ferguson is a resident of Duston Heights, Massachusetts.
Ferguson meets Johnny Dixon while both are attending Camp Chocorua and quickly forms a fast, lasting friendship. Asked to be called "Fergie" when the two are introduced (on account no one in their right mind wants to be known as "Byron"), Ferguson is more a sometime-skeptic alongside Johnny and Professor Childermass. His no-nonsense approach to situations and devil-may-care attitude make him the opposite of the timid, worrywart Johnny, and there has been occasional friction between the two, but their friendship stays strong throughout their myriad of adventures.
First lines in The Mummy, the Will, and the Crypt: "Looks like Dracula's castle, doesn't it?" (36).
