Brakespeare is a village in the Southern Kingdom, located near Prospero's house (The Face in the Frost).

Prospero tells Roger Bacon that there are mysterious figures in gray "waiting up the road, toward" the town (Face, 31).

Later, when visiting the Gorgon's Head Inn, Prospero signs the registry as "Nicholas Archer" from this town (Face, 67).

It is in this town Prospero once heard the rumor that border inns - that is, those lying near the Brown River - were known for their port and Sherry (Face, 98).
