An Atwater Kent Radio is discovered by Anthony and Miss Eells at an estate sale (The Treasure of Alpheus Winterborn, 52).

Arthur Atwater Kent, Sr. (1873–1949) was an inventor and prominent radio manufacturer whose Atwater Kent Manufacturing Company became the largest maker of radios in the United States by the mid-1920s. At its peak the company employed over 12,000 workers manufacturing nearly one million radio sets. Their radios were of high quality and many examples of working models exist today and are highly prized by collectors and restorers.
