Mrs. Ariel Hoagy is an author who, in her article "Listening to Architecture", notes the bricks in the Cathedral of Saint Gorboduc "jostle and clunk dismally with every wind" (Saint Fidgeta and Other Parodies; 36).

Inspiration[]

Ariel is a given name from Biblical Hebrew that literally means "lion of God". In modern Hebrew, Ariel is primarily used as a male name. However, in recent years in English-speaking countries, it has been more commonly used as a female name[1].

Hoagy, or hoagie, is another name for a submarine sandwich[2]; the term originated in the Philadelphia area[3].
